And..... we're back to another film  directed by Yasmin Ahmad ; a superb trilogy movie -  MUKHSIN. If, you're a fan of Yasmin Ahmad's movie, this movie is a MUST for you out there. Back then, Mukhsin is the final trilogy movie produced by Yasmin Ahmad after the first sequel which is SEPET followed by GUBRA. Those movies are the very genuine yet so different movies from any other Malay movie. I bet, those who value the quality the most will find the uniqueness of Yasmin's work.

"Everyone has the first love to tell"

This movie is basically about a 12 years old boy named Mukhsin who finds Orked, a 10 years old as someone who is very sweet and attractive. This movie basically about the love story between Mukhsin and Orked which they portrayed in the movie as the "kampung" kids. While Orked lives with her family as well as her maid Kak Yam in a very happy life, Mukhsin has a different sad story. Mukhsin is actually Orked's first love and what ever it is, Orked still accept Mukhsin for who he is. Most of the time in the movie, it potrayed about love, family as well as friendship. 

Well, I find that this movie potrayed something REAL that happening to us. Each and everyone around us must have our own first love while we're still a young kid particularly. 

So...... For those who have watched Gubra as well as Sepet, DON'T GET CONFUSED!

In Gubra and Sepet, Orked who screen played by Syarifah Amani has her own different story than Orked in the Mukhsin. They accidentally lives in the same village and Orked (played by Amani) found there is another Orked in the village. She look at the Orked and throwing back her memories of her first love; Alan -- particularly her husband. So, basically Mukhsin and Orked in the Mukhsin is another story create by Yasmin as the director. 

The tear-falling love story of GUBRA and SEPET are the must to watch for those who find MUKHSIN is a nice movie.

Overall,

I would recommend this movie for those who love something different in the screenplay 

BUT

 I don't recommend this movie for those who watch movie for the sake of fun and entertainment.
